The client, a new company that offers prepaid credit cards, did not have a web presence. It was seeking a high impact website that clearly represented its brand, products, and services to consumers. The consumer website needed to provide key information to educate prospective customers and provide an area where they could immediately apply for a prepaid credit card. The site needed to provide existing customers with a portal for accessing their account information. On the backend, the client needed an API administrative site to manage and process card payments, and manage other services.
For the consumer site, Experis developed concepts and provided creative guidance and enhancements necessary to create the client’s website. We delivered a fully outsourced project solution, including a team of highly skilled design and technical experts.
The team consisted of a project manager/business analyst who provided project management, business analysis, testing, user interface, and user experience services; a front-end Java developer who implemented the designs; and a technical architect who configured and launched the site on Amazon Cloud.
- Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
- Parallax design treatment on website
- Amazon Cloud Hosting Services
The API administrative site was more complex, requiring PCI certification and bank approvals that can cause unpredictable delays. Experis built a site for managing all registered users that allowed for viewing registered users by search conditions, and delivered a list of stores selling the prepaid cards by zone, state, and country. An API gateway to Galileo allows payments to be processed through banks.
Deployed inside the AWS instance with the database, the backend was implemented using:
- OAuth2 for client authentication at the RESTful services layer; authorization is a user-controlled dataset from the database
- Core Java for utilities and batch services
- Spring Frameworks (Spring MVC, JDBC, IOC, JMS and IOC)
- Unix Shell Scripts and Perl
- Amazon Cloud Services, Route 53, RDS, EC2, VPC and S3
- Java RS using Jersey Framework
- Project Manager/Business
- Analyst/UI and UX Designer /Tester
- 3 Java Developer
- 1 Technical Architect with Amazon Cloud Services expertise
The client wanted to create an enhanced marketing website that allowed customers to prospect and access information about the client’s products and services – and provide a portal for existing customers to access their account information. Experis provided key resources to collect the requirements, provided conceptual and final designs, developed the website, and implemented the final, customer-facing version and also the administrative site.
With the administrative site, the client can generate daily, weekly, and monthly earnings reports by zone, state, and country to track sales performance. A REST API enables stores to sell cards from either the consumer or administrative site. Experis also built and implemented system monitoring and alert tools to maintain app security.
Experis provided a fully outsourced delivery team complete with project management, analysis and design, application architecture and development expertise. We also implemented Amazon Cloud Hosting Services.
With the success of the website launch, the client was pleased with the complex backend service gateway and Amazon Cloud Hosting solution.
